Selangor is a well known state for its hustle and bustle lifestyle in the city, at the same time well preserved beauty of its nature. Since the mco restriction has been lifted, most Malaysians are ready to travel and get a peace of mind rested after being cooped up in their homes for almost two years
Other than waterfalls, beaches are also becoming the latest attraction for crowds. A lot of families and groups of friends spend their time together having a picnic by the beach. Bear this in mind, we are still in a pandemic and all safety measures and SOP are needed to be followed.
Due to the incident that happened in Bagan Lalang a few weeks ago, where some visitors are not complying with the SOP, here is a list of 15 beaches that you could go hang out with your loved ones around Selangor.
1. Pantai Tanjung Rhu
In order to get here, you have to go through Carey Island first. Once arrived, the journey takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get to Pantai Tanjung Rhu. The length of the white beach’s sand is around 2.5 km.
Definitely suitable for kids to run and have fun around the wide beach. Other than that, around the area of the beach there will be a port for the local fishermen who work in Carey Island.
Another fun fact about Carey Island where Pantai Tanjung Rhu is situated, there is a placement where the native orang asli Mah Meri lives in their own unique way. Quite interesting to see their way of life if you decide to visit here.

2. Pantai Cunang, Tanjung Sepat
It is not quite popular around the locals, but well preserved and that is why Pantai Cunang is so peaceful and calm. We suddenly found this hidden gem during our trip heading to Bagan Lalang. Fun fact, this beach was recognized as ‘Pantai Angkat Selangor’ back in 2015 because of its beauty.
With the manmade infrastructure which carries the theme of nature, blessed with soft white sands and the blue sea water, this is definitely a magnificent panorama to behold.
So far, this is the best beach around Selangor and Klang Valley. It is well preserved with rhu branches which have been planted along the coast and mangrove in the seawater.
If you are a photographer, it will be a missed opportunity if you did not come here to experience the beauty of its panorama. Just for your information, there are entrance fees and other activities fees if you are interested in having a barbeque with your loved ones.

3. Pantai Morib, Kuala Langat
Pantai Morib which is located in Kuala Langat is around 3 km in length, which is filled with Casuarina and coconut trees is indeed a nature’s beauty.
Some parts of the coast, pathways have been made for visitors to stroll along the beach, as well as a recreational park for your kids to play.
The recreational park beside the beach is quite wide and filled with basic facilities such as gazebo and pavilion, an arena for a traditional gasing battle, a multi-purpose stage and varieties of food stalls.
Other fun activities you can enjoy are playing volleyball, flying kites or even a game of golf at the golf club Sri Morib near the beach.

4. Pantai Bagan Lalang, Sepang
This beach is quite popular like Pantai Morib, situated in the south of Selangor. Pantai Bagan Lalang is a perfect definition of fun activities at the beach.
There are tons of food stalls that you could enjoy, as well as buying some gifts at the souvenir’s stalls. Other than that, the new Avani Sepang Gold Coast boosted the ratings of Pantai Bagan Lalang
There are plenty of accommodations that could suit your budget. There are homestays, resorts and chalets around the Pantai Bagan Lalang if you want a different experience.
Last but not least, for the rod lovers out there, there are plenty of fishing spots around the area as well.
If you are planning to visit Pantai Redang, the best time to go is around 7pm to experience the magnificent sunset .
6. Pantai BNO, Sabak Bernam
This town which is famous for its beach named Pantai Bagan Nakhoda Omar, which could be accessed through the roads which will please you with the view of traditional residential is indeed an eye opening journey that you need to experience.
There are plenty of attractions here in this town such as bird sightings, the beauty of nature, and mangroves forest. If you are lucky enough you could see some red eagle flying above your head.For food, there are varieties of food stalls beside the beach, that you could enjoy accompanied by the windy sea breeze.
One of the special dishes that you must try is Mee Udang Banjir, definitely a meal that could fill your appetite.
7. “Eagle-Feeding” at Pasir Penambang
Other than the well known Sky Mirror, ‘Eagle Feeding’ is one of the unique attractions that you could try. By boat, you will be brought to a location where eagles ‘hang out’. Yes, it is in Selangor, not in Langkawi.
This is the moment for you to practise or use your photography skills. If you managed to snap a picture of the eagle flying or submerged into the water to catch a prey it will definitely be one of your best photos ever.

8. Sky Mirror
There are plenty of attractions in Selangor, but Sky Mirror needs to be on top of your list of places that you need to visit! Why? Sky Mirror is one the unique attractions that you could you could only found in Selangor
The phenomenon named Sky Mirror or also known as ‘Salar de Uyuni’ is a natural phenomenon that happens during the low tide where the surface of the water reflects the view of the sky and eventually replicates a view of a mirror.
You will feel like walking on clouds when you walk during the low tide. Do not miss an opportunity to take a picture.There are 2 packages that you can choose. Either a full day or half day trip. The trip will start at 8 am until 10 am and end at 12 pm to 2pm.

9. Pantai Kelanang
Surrounded by Kasuarina trees which are pleasing to the eye, Pantai Kelanang is quite an underrated spot for tourists as it is very suitable for a more private getaway with your loved ones.
This is a place where you could even camp out to enjoy the magnificent beauty of nature.
Just for your information, the sands here at the beach are a mix of sand and mud. It will be quite different from typical sand beaches. Other than having a picnic, you could chase some small crabs or collect some seashells along the beach.

10. Pantai Remis, Kuala Selangor
Pantai Remis which is located 20km in the south of Kuala Selangor, at Sg Sembilang Jeram is a perfect eco-tourism spot which is starting to gain a lot of attention.
Pantai Remis is a beautiful beach and often visited by locals during the weekends and school holidays. It is a popular spot for families to have a good time together.
Sadly, if you love to swim this is not the beach for you because there are a lot of huge stones for the embankment.
The good news is, there are plenty of fun activities that you could enjoy here such as eating at the varieties of food stalls, fly kites, fishing or even searching for some shells.
Having a picnic here definitely will be the sweetest memory with your loved ones especially during the sunsets which will be reflected on the surface of the sea.
If you are planning to stay a bit longer, a nice barbeque with your loved ones and staying a night at the cabin will be even better. There is also a swimming pool to dive in!
